I've taken cream coordination cardstock and distressed and inked it and stamped onto it. The images have been embossed with white embossing powder and then I've rubbed over distress ink and buffed it up. Some acrylic paint brushed randomly an dsome twine to finish off.

An ATC and Creative Studio stamps

Over the last few days I've bought some stamp sheets from Creative Studios. I've shown you one card that I've made and I have one to show you this Thursday for my DT card on Cute Card Thursday. Well today I wanted to show you an ATC that I made.

I've used two sets Artful ladies and Art Sayings from Creative Studio. I am very impressed with the customer service that Sam supplies. Each time I've ordered the stamps have arrived the next day. And they are great to work with! Love to sit and cut out the images from a sheet, the rubber smells so good!! Weird I know!

So back to my ATC here are the supplies I've used

Stamps: Creative Studios - Artful Ladies & Art Sayings
Background: Dylusions spray inks
Embossing powder: WOW white
Colouring medium: Copics

Sam Poole stamps and Sketch Saturday

Just this minute finished this card. I took the Sketch Saturday sketch

and the Sam Poole Creative Studio stamp plate Butterfly Girl and made this card

Stamps: Creative Studios - Butterfly Girl
Papers: Basic Grey Out of Print
Acrylic paints - Docraft Inks - Memento, Stazon, Distress Ink
Pens - Stardust clear and white

So I've paper pieced the girl with the Basic Grey papers and just brushed a little paint over her. Her wings are acetate and I've used a clear stardust pen on them. You can't see very well on the pic but I've also used paint on one of the stamps to stamp onto the papers, it's a dotty one in the set. I've also paper pieced some more of the stamps and used them as embellies, inked the edges and added a little paint.

Polkadoodles Challenge

Another Friday comes round and another Polkadoodles challenge. This week we would like you to make a

Wedding Card with a Difference!

The difference being is that we'd like you to incorporate the saying "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue"

So here is mine

I have used papers from the Sugar Birdies CD which I've lightly inked the edges with a blue distress ink. The image is from the Candy Doodles CD and I've coloured it in with copics. The sentiment is also from Candy Doodles. I've added some punched borders using the same CD papers. To finish off I've added some white ribbon and little pearls.

So the something old is the ribbon and pearls  , something new is my punch , something borrowed is the time I took to do it as I was on borrowed time I was supposed to be doing the housework! and of course something blue is my backing paper. As always the DT have made lots of different and beautiful projects. Why not take a look and join in with us. I know me and the DT love looking at your projects.

Spread your wings Journal page

Here is another art journal page I just finished. A generous lady called Lesley stamped some Dylusion images for me so I thought I'd better get to it and make something. So the background is lots of Dylusion inks, acrylic paints, stamps, rub ons, stencils, masks etc. The image is from Dylusions and she's called Curious Corrin she has been coloured with the Dylusions inks but the face is using Copics. I also put a little lace along the bottom of her dress for a bit of texture. The quote is also another set from Dylusions and if I remember rightly it's called Quintessentials. The butterfly at the top left is stamped onto acrylic and coloured with perfect pearls. Suitcase and wings are from Indigoblo. Oh and forgot that at the very beginning I adhered a napkin onto the blank page to add texture.

Until .... canvas on easel

Here's what I've been up to this morning. I made this canvas after seeing a beautiful one on display at Craftworld. Needless to say it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Not too sure about the wings.

I've first covered the canvas with some Tim Holtz resist kraft paper and then gone round it with walnut distress ink. Next came some tape washi tape that I got free from a magazine. Oh I used a gel medium to adhere the paper and tape to the canvas. The film strip is from a Tim Holtz stamp. The butterfly I stamped on acetate and cut out. I coloured it lightly with a copic pen. The crown and wings were stamps from a Hunkydory set and I've also used the same TH kraft paper to stamp them on. I gave the crown, wings and acetate butterfly a light dusting of perfect pearls interference violet. On the crown I placed a little butterfly which I cut out of shrink plastic. Finally the quote is from a set from Dylusions. NB the wings may have to come off not sure about them!!

We went to Glasgow yesterday and popped into Craftworld. Fab shop!! Hubby bought me an early birthday pressie as I was oohing and ahhing so much!!

Forgot to show you this postcard. It was made for a swap on UKStampers

The theme was Feathered Friends. I used Dylusions inks for the background on top of Papermania Urban papers. I then cut out one of the images from the papers and adhered it to the postcard using gel medium. The three hearts are wooden and I covered them with more of the inks. The quote is computer
generated.

Polkadoodles Challenge

This week it was my turn to set the challenge on the Polkadoodles Challenge blog. I chose

De-Stress

How about some distressing on your card?

For my background I've used the Polkadoodles CD, Not for girls. Even this CD can be used for a feminine card it's very versatile. I've sanded them and inked them. The gorgeous image is from Marianne Designs and I've also sanded and inked that. I also added some twine and a little heart. The lovely rose ribbon is also from Marianne Designs. The dream ticket is from the Polkadoodles CD Candy Doodles and I've also inked it. I also added some of the netting from the rose ribbon. I cut one of the roses off the ribbon and added it to the image.
The DT girls have made some gorgeous "De-Stress" projects, lots of inspiration for you. Why not go over to the Challenge blog and take a look. I'd love you to join in with the challenge and I look forward to seeing your projects.

Black & White ATCs

I've started to make ATCs again. These ones are for a black and white swap on UKStampers.
