More news from Polkadoodles

I have more news for you today from the Polkadoodles team.

Diddydoodles Challenge Blog!!

This is a brand new monthly challenge blog just for kids! We all know how they love to play with our stash so here's their chance to show off their work. A fab idea from Nikky.

Starting on 30th December, we will be setting you a little creative challenge each month and we REALLY hope you will join in the fun with us!

So many people make cards and scrapbook pages and they're all adults! So at Polkadoodles we decided to make a blog just for you kids! So now each month you can join in the fun and show us what you make - it can be anything, it doesn't have to be a card, just so long as you've followed the challenge rules (although we might bend the rules now and then if you make something really cool, so still enter!)...so come on kids, get your paintbrushes, paper and pens at the ready and we'll see you on 30th December for our first challenge!! (we're all hoping that by then we'll have loads of new crafty stash to play with that Father Christmas has brought us!!)

If you go over to the Diddydoodles challenge blog page you can see all the details on how to join in.

Following the huge success of our Christmas magazine in conjunction with Practical Publishing we were overwhelmed with requests to produce a regular project magazine. So, we decided to go one better and give you an exclusive project kit AND magazine instead!!
Each Club issue will include a special exclusive* set of Polymer stamps, a printed paper pack, special Club offers and discounts PLUS our special, EXCLUSIVE CREATIVE CHRONICLE Club magazine which gives you 12 full colour step by step tutorials and inspiration on how to use your kit, with special projects from Nikky and the amazingly talented Design Team. Each magazine issue will include special offers and news from Polkadoodles, together with a preview of the upcoming next issue.
We realise this is not the cheapest Club around but QUALITY is really important to us and rather than give you a crummy photocopied badly instructed project sheet with your stamps we decided to go the whole hog and get our brilliant Design Team to contribute with Nikky instead. We are certain this magazine will be a collectable and we are working on bringing you some added extra's such as an organiser binder etc to build your tutorial library. Each issue will include at least 12 step by step tutorials complete with full colour photographs and loads of hints and tips from the team which will prove invaluable.

This first issue includes 10 printed A4 papers and an A6 Polymer stamp set as per graphic attached (includes large girl stamp, sentiment stamp and 2 flowers) together with the first Creative Chronicle issue.

Polkadoodles Challenge

This is our last Polkadoodle challenge for the year and the theme is

Through the window

I have used mostly Polkadoodle items from the shop.
Image, sentiment and papers:- Sundae of Seasons CD Winter
Window frame:- Kraft paper from the Magical Winter CD part 2
I coloured the images with Copics and added a touch of diamond sprinkles to the trees. The border was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and the snowflakes are punched with a Karl punch. I added some little gems to the border and snowflakes for a bit of bling.

Because it's our last challenge for the year and it's Christmas, Nikky is offering up a £10 Polkadoodle voucher to one lucky random winner! So it's well worth going over to the Polkadoodle challenge blog and entering your through the window creation. Don't forget to take a look at the other DT's work, amazing as always!!

Polkadoodles Challenge

Time for another Polkadoodle challenge and this week it is Colette's turn and she has chosen

A Quick Christmas Card

I made this card real quick! I used the Magical Winter part 2 CD. I printed out a topper, a sheet of patterned paper and a sentiment. I cut out four strips from the paper and glued them to a blank white card. I then layered the topper onto blue card added some stickles and stuck that to the card. I added the sentiment and two punched snowflakes. A quick and simple card for when you're in a hurry or have forgot someone!!

For even more inspiration go over to the Polkadoodles Challenge blog and take a look at what the other DT girls have done and then you can join in with us.

We have a fantastic prize this week too for the winner it's a £10 gift voucher to spend in the Polkadoodles shop.

Cute Card Thursday

A real easy challenge for this week's Cute Card Thursday and it is

Anything Goes!

I've made a birthday card for my mum, getting a bit fed up of Xmas cards now.

Image: Lili of the Valley, Oh So girly stamp sheet
Sentiment: Lili of the Valley, for her sentiments
Papers: Tilda Winterbird pad

I have distressed all the paper edges with a sandpaper block to bring out the embossing.
The decorated edges and scalloped circles are done with spellbinder dies. Everything else from stash. The image has been coloured in with Copics.

As always the other DT girls have made some amazing cards. You can see them over on the Cute Card Thursday blog.

I'll be back again tomorrow with my Polkadoodle's DT card.

Mojo Monday Challenge

wow another card from me today! This one is for the Mojo Monday Challenge. Here's the sketch we were asked to follow.

Of course I did the square one. So here is my take on the sketch.

This is a very thrifty card as I've used papers and a stamp that were free.

Stamp and sentiment: Me to you. This is just one of ten that were free on the cover of the Docrafts Creativity magazine. Great value!
Papers: Nitwit - Heavenly collection. These came free with an issue of Simply cards and papercraft.

What a great bargain!

Teddy has been coloured in with copics and some clear star pen with a bit of diamond stickles.
