Cute Card Thursday

It's the Cute Card Thursday Challenge time again and the theme for this week is...

A Different Corner

This week we want to see you do something with the one or more of the corners of your card. That can be anything from a corner on your image, rounded corners, corner bookmark...or even a card base with no corners...whatever takes your fancy!

My corner is a Silhouette Cameo die cut.

Papers: Prima - Doodle Deux
Heart border: Martha Stewart punch

We'd love for you to join in with our challenge this week. One lucky winner will win a $15 gift certificate from Alota Stamps.

The DT girls have made some gorgeous cards. Please go take a look and join in. You can find all the details here.

3D Cowboy Boot

Another Cameo project to show you. This one was a bit tricky and I had to bite my tongue a few times!! The file comes from SVG Cuts, Happy Trail.

Papers are by Tim Holtz and I've used distress ink to add a bit of oldness. I used an embossing folder to add the detail to the top part of the toe.

Next to tackle is the desktop jar!

Creative Expressions

Here's my project for this week using the lovely Heart Entwined stamps from Creative Expressions.

I've done a little tutorial as this was just a use this and see if it works.

1. Take a chipboard heart and paint one colour in acrylic over the heart and then paint a different colour over the top when dry. Next sand over the paints so the first colour shows through.

2. Using TH Distress Crackle Paint in Rock Candy go over the heart and lightly heat so it crackles.

3.  Take a crackle background stamp and ink up with TH Fired Brick ink pad. Stamp randomly   over the heart and then apply the ink pad around the edges.

4. Stamp the decorative heart onto acetate with Perfect Medium and then use a white embossing powder. Cut out the heart and edge with the brick red ink pad.

5. With a black ink pad distress the heart a little and stamp a single heart in the middle.

6. Apply the acetate heart over the stamped heart, just adhering the middle so each side is lifted. I used a little tag with the "I love you" from the Special Sentiments stamp set. To hang the heart I added some lace to the top.

I hope you've enjoyed my little tutorial. Don't forget you can see all the Creative Expressions DT work on the Creative Expressions Facebook page here.

New Creative Expressions stamps

Afternoon and today I'd like to show you a card that I have made with just one of my new DT Creative Expressions stamp sets.

For this card I used a background paper from the Tim Holtz Kraft pad and I embossed it with a tri embossing heart folder. I then went over the paper with a walnut distress ink to make the embossing pop. I stamped out two big and two small hearts from the Creative Expressions Hearts Entwined stamp plate onto TH paper with walnut ink and then cut them out. I then used extra thick clear embossing powder on them to make them shine. The two big hearts have been cracked too. I then went around the edges with the walnut ink.  I then stamped out the label and the sentiment from the Hearts Entwined plate in black ink and clear embossed them , then again I used extra thick clear embossing powder over all of it . To finish off I added the lovely swirly border in black ink.

This is a great plate for Valentine's , really pretty. I'll be showing you more soon.

Argggghhh

Sorry ladies I can't put anything up on my blog as it is messing about. I can't add a picture at all and it's really not worth putting up a challenge post without a picture is it?

I have two cards to show you , my Card Makin Mamas and my Cute Card Thursday so I'll catch up when I can.

Is anybody else having this problem?
