Papertake Weekly Challenge

Today's project is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge. Here is the sketch

sketch #91 PTW

And here's my card

I've used a new stamp called "Creativeness" from Funky Kits. She reminds me of my daughter who is learning how to play the guitar. I've coloured her with a selection of Shin Han, Copics and Spectrum Noir pens. I don't know what went wrong with her hair this time but it just looks flat!!!
The papers are by First Edition and are called Neroli.
Frame, flowers and sentiment are all cut/written with the Cricut Explore.
The heart border is a Martha Stewart punch.

Two CAS cards

Today I'd like to show you two CAS cards that I've made with Papermill products and my Cricut Explore.

This first one I have used the Papermill Smooth White card, as it's ideal for stamping straight onto.
I cut the card blank with my Cricut Explore and then used the pen facility to draw the line border and write the text. The stamp is a gorjuss girl called "Hang me up to dry". She has been coloured with Shin Han pens and Copics.

My second card has been made with Papermill White Linen card as the blank and I've also used the same card to cut the doiley.
Same again I cut the card blank on my Cricut Explore and also drew the lines and sentiment using the draw option. I stamped the Gorjuss girl "I gave you my heart" onto smooth white and coloured her hair and skin with Shin Han pens and I then paper pieced the rest of her with papers from a Lily of the Valley/Nitwit Perfect Pair pad.

Loving my Explore!

Papermill White Linen Card

So here is my first card after being back on the Papermill Direct Design Team.
I have used the gorgeous White Linen card. I've always loved this card it always looks so classy and even though it is textured it still takes embossing and stamping beautifully.

I have used my new Cricut Explore to make this card. I cut out a basic card shape and embossed the front with an embossing folder and then sized up the front panel and cut and wrote on it. I just used the text button to write the phrase in different style fonts. The plants are a Paperartsy Jofy stamp. I layered up the main areas to make them stand out. I then stamped a butterfly from a Kanban set onto the same white linen, cut it out and used 3D pads to adhere it to the card. A little ribbon and gems and all done.

I'd also like to enter this into the Through the Craftroom Door Challenge as it is anything goes.

Explore meets Gorjuss

Today I'm showing a card that I just made for fun, no challenge involved this time.
I've used my Cricut Explore for this one.

So I started off with a ready made card file from the Cricut Design Space but added a few bits and pieces to it.
Cricut project - Doily and Rosette card. ( although I didn't use the rosette).
Card - Papermill white card. (The explore scored it beautifully).
Frame - Home Decor image set from the CDS.
Papers - Prima
Image - Gorjuss girl

I've been really impressed with the way the Explore had been cutting intricate designs. Here is a couple of close ups of the doiley and frame.

The doiley was cut with patterned paper

and the frame has been cut with Papermill white card.

Cricut Explore

Yesterday my Cricut Explore arrived but I didn't have much time to play. I have it hooked up using the Cricut bluetooth adapter and a bluetooth adapter.
My Explore came from Craftsulove and came with...

a bag,
one cutting blade and housing,
one drawing,writting pen adapter,
one 12x12" cutting mat,
a simple guide and a selection of materials—including cardstock, iron-on, vinyl and two Duck Tape® Sheets

I decided to go with the bundle...

Scoring Stylus
12"x24" Cutting Mat Set (2 mats)Deep Cut Housing & BladeBoth Cricut Explore Pen Sets

You also get 2 weeks free library access.

Today I had a little play.

One of the things I was hoping for was the Explore being able to do intricate cuts on small images. So I cut a doiley out with patterned paper. It was  2 1/2 inches across and cut perfectly.

So I then decided to decorate my Explore with vinyl. I was very impressed with the cut. The small clocks are only 0 .5 cms in height and came out perfect.

I have a lot to learn on how much it can do but I will be posting on here regularly to show you what I have achieved.

Time for Cute Card Thursday and the challenge this week is

Perfectly Pink

For my card I've used a Dilly Bean image called "Girl and Butterfly". I've coloured her with a few different pens, copics, shin han and spectrum noirs. She also has some glitter on her butterfly.
The papers are by Carta Bella and are called Beautiful Moments.
The frame and butterflies have been cut on my Cameo and is a file by Sarah Hurley called Fancy Butterfly Frame, available from the Silhouette store.
The sentiment is from Sam Poole and is from a set called Artful Sayings.
I've sewn around most of the papers with a cream thread and also inked them with a pink distress ink.

We are sponsored this week by Bunny Zoe.

I hope you pop on over to the blog here and take a look at the gorgeous work by the other DT girls.

Totally Gorjuss & Sketch Saturday Challenges

Its been a rubbish rainy day here again so I thought I'd try a challenge card. I found two that I'd like to have a go at Sketch Saturday and Totally Gorjuss Challenges.

For the Sketch Saturday challenge you could use any sketch so I used this sketch from way back in October.

The theme for Totally Gorjuss is "Stitching". So I think I've fit the bill with this card.

Gorjuss stamp - Toadstools ( I have my bestie Tracy to thank for this , she bought it as a surprise for me for my birthday). I had to mostly paper piece the image , my hands didn't want to play today so I could only manage to colour the hair and skin.

Paper pad - Hobbycraft Autumn Collection  This is a really lovely paper pad I didn't expect it to be all that as it was quite cheap and it being a Hobbycraft own brand but I was pleasantly surprised.

Sentiment was computer generated. the heart borders are by Martha Stewart and are a punch.
