Cute Card Thursday

Thursday rolls around today and our snow was here for one day, yesterday, but today it's all gone!! I'm glad as I'm having to walk quite far at the moment due to Rob being flat on his back with a slipped disc. I don't drive :0)
Anyway this week's challenge for Cute Card Thursday is

An Eye For Detail

I've used a  Dilly Beans digi image and coloured her with Copics.

Papers: First Edition - Desert Blooms
Flourish: Cheery Lynn Designs - Fanciful Flourish
Sentiment: Dylusions
Punch: Martha Stewart butterflies

This week we are offering a prize of  a Whiff of Joy stamp  to one lucky winner. The DT have done a fab job again this week and have all taken the challenge theme in a different way. Please come over and join in with us here.

Thinking of you

Here's a card I made for My Mum's Craft Shop using the cute little image by CC Designs called Lolli Beatrice.

Some of my Copics are starting to run out so I did a little experiment and mixed my colouring using both Copics and Promarkers and it worked. Just in case you were wondering! I stamped her out onto a Spellbinders die.
The papers are Prima - Doodle Deux (my fav for now) and I've stitched around them with turquoise thread to match the papers. I cut out the three circles from the same paper pad as it gives you pages with little tags and embellies. I applied some glossy accents to them. The flowers are from the same papers and I've again used a Spellbinders die. Kitty has lots of flower dies to choose from in the shop.
I didn't have the right colour gem so I used a promarker to colour a clear gem to orange to put in the middles. I've also done the same to the border gems.
The flourish is a Cheery Lynn die and is called Mini Fanciful Flourish. They have been cut with the same papers.
And lastly the sentiment is from Creative Expressions - Art Sayings.

All these products can be found at Kitty's My Mum's Craft Shop.

I'll be back to show you more projects on Thursday, have a good week till then.

My Mum's Craft Shop

Morning from a grey and rainy Scotland. Today I'd like to show you a card that I've designed for the My Mum's Craft Shop blog featuring a CC Designs stamp called Sweet November Garden Girl Gertie.

Gertie has been coloured with Copics and I've used a little TH Distress Ink Barn Door around the edges of the card. The papers are from Carta Bella - Beautiful Moments. I've inked them and also stitched around them. The fence is a Doo Hickey - Lovely Fence die. I've given it a bit of colour with the TH barn door ink. My favourite die at the moment is this Mini Fanciful Flourish from Cheery Lynn and I've used it on this card to drape over the main image and tag. The tag is from the same paper pad. I used the words from the Creative Expressions - Art Sayings. Some lovely little roses complete the card.

Kitty has just put on the website some brand new products. Really gorgeous stash, just wish I was a millionaire!!! You can see it all  on My Mum's Craft Shop.
Have a great weekend!!

Willow Sketchie Challenge

Thursday again and it's time for the Willow Sketchie Challenge. It's Lisa's turn to draw the sketch and pick a theme.

Here's the sketch

And the theme is

Kraft Card/Paper

Please use either kraft card or paper on your project.

I've used the Polly Pickleberry CD Rom for my card and I've layered the papers with kraft card. I've also used kraft card to make the flourishes. They are from Cheery  Lynn and are called Mini fanciful flourishes.

Welcome to my world

Yay kids back at school today, not so yay that I have to get up and dressed early!! At least I'll be able to craft a bit more now.

Today I'd like to show you a card I made using inks and watercolour paper for My Mums Craft Shop.

First I took a piece of square watercolour paper slightly smaller than my card blank and spritzed it with water. Then I sprayed over some of the gorgeous Dylusions ink sprays in Bubblegum Pink and Vibrant Turquoise. When mixed they make the purple colour. On a previous card I used the Cheery Lynn mini fanciful flourish die but I didn't want to throw away the waste so on this card I used it as a stencil with cream acrylic paint. To add a little texture I used a Tando Creative sequin waste mask with a little black ink. The border was made with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and paper from the Prima Doodle Deux paper pad. I inked the edges with TH milled lavendar distress ink. I then used a piece of ribbon to put across the middle and made a bow. As you can see I even kept the butterflies from the punch outs to use on my card. I added little pink gems to their centres. The flowers and girl are from the Creative Expressions - Artful Ladies collection. The flowers were stamped in versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder, cut out and a gem added. The lady is coloured in Copics and her wings are covered in shimmer mist. To finish off I added the sentiment which is from Creative Expressions - Art Sayings.

Everything is available from My Mum's Craft Shop.

You can see lots of great inspirational projects on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog here.

Dancing in the rain

My turn to post on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog and I want to show you a card I made using some gorgeous products from the shop.

I've used a fab Stamping Bella Uptown girls stamp called Lolly and her brolly. Love the sentiment that comes with this stamp set. I've coloured her with Copics and cut around her. I cut the sentiment up into 3 pieces and inked the edges with a Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink
The papers are all from a gorgeous new pad from Prima called Doodle Deux. The papers are really quirky and in great colours The vines are a die from Memory Box and this one is called Floral Vine. I cut it out with some of the same Prima papers. The flourish is another die by Cheery Lynn Designs and is called Mini Fanciful Flourish. Again I've cut it out of the same papers. The flowers are from a Spellbinder die and I've just curled the edges of two of the sizes to make a layered flower and then added a gem to the centre. All the background papers have been stitched with a zigzag stitch. Finally some little gems finished the card off.

Im off on an adventure today, don't know where! It's a lovely day and we travel free on the trains so we are just going to get on a train and see where it takes us. Have a lovely weekend.
