I can't stop making these. The gorgeous shaped frames from Lori Whitlock. This one is the bracket shaped frame.

Silhouette Cameo Files:-

My Girl sentiment: Lori Whitlock
Flowers: Lori Whitlock
Flourishes: Echo Park
Camera: Echo Park

All these files are available from the Sil Store.

Although these frames and easels are made from card they are really sturdy. They would make a beautiful gift to send to someone. As they are so light it wouldn't cost a lot in postage either!!

Hopefully Lori will get round to making lots more shapes for us.

Creative Expressions DT Project

Here is my DT project for Creative Expressions for this week.

I've made a tag and because I liked the way the ribbon looked attached to a stamped image I've done it again!!

Also I've made a little tutorial too.

So here's the finished tag.

you will need:

A craft tag
Tim Holtz Distress Inks  Iced Spruce, Peacock Feathers and Ripe Persimmon
That Special Touch - Mechanical Mask

Stamps:
Creative Expressions. Stamps to die for Flower Frame
Creative Expressions. Single stamps. Steampunk Dressform

Ribbon:
Creative Expressions. White Sheer Wrinkled Edge Ribbon
Creative Expressions. White Crochet Ribbon

Gesso

Instructions:

1. Take a craft tag and emboss it using the Mechanical mask.

2. With the TH distress inks colour your tag and using the Iced Spruce go around the edges.

3. Place the mask on your tag and using the gesso and an old credit card spread the gesso through some of the pattern onto your mask. When dry (I used a heat gun) ink over with the Iced Spruce ink.

4. With some memento black ink just ink up the two bottom corners of the flower frame stamp and stamp the bottom corners of the tag.

5. Stamp out the steampunk dressform onto some card with black ink and clear emboss it.
Lightly trace around the wings onto the sheer ribbon and cut out. Do the same for the skirt with
    the crochet ribbon.

6.  Using a clear glue adhere the skirt and wings to the dress form. Now adhere the whole thing to the tag using 3D pads.

7.  Add some white sheer ribbon the top and there you go!

I hope you've enjoyed my tutorial and will have a go yourself.

First Smash Page

Today Im showing you my first Smash page. Sorry I had to pixelate some of the wording on the pages. Don't want anyone showing up on my doorstep!! And I want to keep my journaling private on this one too.
We went out for the day on Sunday , first we had a buffet breakfast at Brewers Fayre and then went to a big shopping centre in Livingston.
We had a fab time!!

The chevrons, arrows and words are all Lori Whitlock files from the Silhouette store which I've cut on the Cameo.

I added the receipts from the shops we visited but couldn't find my Starbucks receipt!!!!! The journaling note is from a Smash quote book. I've used washi tape and little bits of patterned paper scraps.

I also used an ink blot stamp to add a background to the page.

Smash!

I haven't posted much lately as had the kids off school for 2 weeks. Back to school today so I thought I'd show you my new venture lol.

We went out for the day yesterday and of course I had to go to the Hobbycraft where I saw that they'd got the Smash stuff in . I bought the red one doodle.

I've been wanting to get into smashing for a while so I've been downloading some Lori Whitlock project life files to use.

Here's a pic of the Smash book and a little folder I made using a Lori Whitlock file from the Silhouette Cameo store.

Inside the folder I'm going to store the Lori Whitlock life cards. I've already started my first page, it's about yesterday's shopping spree.

Creative Expressions Sheer Inspiration Blog Hop

Good morning and happy hump day!!

“Welcome to everyone taking part in the Sheer Inspiration Blog Hop, if you’ve come here from Tracey Laughton's blog you’re in the right place”

So onto the good stuff. Anyone who enters the blog hop will have to leave comments on the eight blogs for a chance to win one of the £15 prizes. I've shown the list of blogs below. Each blog has a fantastic prize of around £15.00!! So you have eight chances of winning £15.

There will be a separate Spot Prize for visiting Kim Dellow's  blog on Friday 5th April.

The hop will close and prize winners will be announced on Monday 8th April.

Here's my make.....
o   To showcase the gorgeous Sheer Ruffled Edge white ribbon I have used it to "make" the material of the dress and of course the 3 little roses.

I layered some navy blue and white card for a background. The white card has been embossed with a dotty embossing folder. Using a black ink I stamped out the Stamps to die for - Flower Frame and then clear embossed it.   I layered it up using again navy blue card.
I    then stamped out the Creative Expressions Fishtail Frock dress onto a piece of white card and clear embossed it. I cut it out and cut around the ribbon to shape it to the dress. I then made the sheer ruffle for the dress. The ribbon was adhered to the dress using a clear glue. This piece was then adhered to the frame card. I clear embossed the sentiment too which came with the dress stamp.
To make the roses I cut a strip of the sheer white ribbon and folded it lengthways in half. I then rolled it loosely and glued the edges in place. I then cut some of the bottom off so it would sit on the card nicely.
Just to finish off I used a few navy blue pearls.
