Willow Sketchie Challenge

I've found a new challenge to enter and it has a sketch , (my fav kind of challenge) it's the Willow Sketchie Challenge. They also asked for a bit of sparkle and shine , so I've used some gems in the middle of the flowers.
Sad to say I don't have any Willow images (yet) so I've used a Gorjuss girl.
Here's the sketch

And here's my card (please click on pic for a better view) Not a good pic as I've taken the photo at night I'll try again for a better one tomorrow. DONE :0)

Dur!!

Lol I made two cards yesterday using the Sketch Saturday sketch and forgot to do a post for them. They've now gone to the kid's teachers so no chance of getting a pic of them. They had Magnolia stamps on them. The desk, pile of books and one had Tilda with glasses for Robbyn's teacher and the other had Edwin with glasses for Tyrrell's teacher.

Must try harder eh?

Each day a DT member will be showing you a project , just to give you some inspiration on how to use the Picknix Collection 1 CD.

Polkadoodles Challenge

Hello and happy Friday!!

today I'm showing you my Polkadoodle Challenge card. This week's theme is

Trooping the Colour

Use as many colours as you can on your card.

So here is my card, I think I made the challenge by being so colourful!!

I made an easel card using papers, images and sentiments from the Pretty Tuff CD. I used a punch to make the decorative strip and added some big buttons.

The other DT girls have made some gorgeous colourful cards and you can see them over on the challenge blog here.

Cute Card Thursday & Sketch n Stash

Today is Cute Card Thursday challenge day and I've combined my DT card with the Sketch n Stash challenge.

The theme is

Here Comes Summer

So I used this older sketch for the Sketch n Stash challenge as they asked you to use any of their sketches from their catalogue.

As well as using a sketch they asked you to use your  new/neglected stash. I used older Magnolia images , think Ive had them for about 4-5 years!! My new stash is the paper pad which is My Mind's Eye - Six by six. I've coloured the images with Copics and added some brads as embellies. The ticket sentiment is by Polkadoodles.

The CCT DT girls have made some gorgeous summery cards so pop on over and take a look. We'd love for you to join in.

For my first post I am showing one of my projects that I made for the Create &Craft  launch show for Studio 12. Not that you got to see much of the DT's samples as the CD sold out mega quick!!

This one is called Taylor - Camping Day. She reminds me of a girl from the 60's with her boots and short mini.
All Emma's stamps are being sold at Polkadoodles here. Not sure if she has a blog yet but if she has I'll add the link when I find out.

Here it is...............

Summer Scene

The papers are from Welcome Home , the elements and sentiment are from the Heavenly Garden collection. The Heavenly Garden have both digi stamps and full colour embellishments on them. I took the bird house as a digi stamp and coloured it in with Copics. I've added stickles, clear star pen, twine and gems too to my card.

We'd love to see all your summery cards so please join in with us and maybe we'll get the sun back!!

Design Team Call for Polkadoodles

Here's your chance to join a great Design Team , Polkadoodles!! Nikky is looking for some new teamies. Here's what she has to say-

We are currently looking for a couple of additional team members to join us! If you love making "stuff" from paper and 'heart' combining paper, digital elements, rubber stamps, doodling, stitching and mixed media we would love to hear from you! We're looking for the best of the best creative minds to join us so if you think this will float your boat then please apply.

Polkadoodles is a challenge blog and you MUST be committed to post at least 3 times per month on this blog and link to your own blog regularly (you MUST have a blog which is updated regularly), plus be active on forums, blogs and social networks. If you are a UK resident you MUST be able to produce physical samples which include cards, altered items, scrap layouts etc and to produce these to deadlines when required (non UK residents have some allowances for this). You will be working mainly with digital elements but other products will also be used and HYBRID crafting is the theme of our blog - if you ONLY create flat digital layouts please do not apply, we want to see layering and embellishing and creativeness between physical crafting and the digi world. This is not a paid position but you will receive products free of charge in lieu of promotion through the blog and the duties outlined above plus will get to showcase your work on the UK's dedicated crafting channel Create & Craft. We are happy for you to be on other design teams but not at the expense of Polkadoodles and we cannot emphasise enough that we expect commitment if you are chosen for the team, so please ensure you are able to accommodate with any other design teams. We need you to be passionate about what you do and committed for a minimum of a 4 month term on the team. Cardmakers, Scrapbookers and Altered Media artists are welcome, we are looking for a diverse team.

We will specifically welcome applicants from USA/Canada, Australia, Europe and all around the world as we would like to build our international team too - so please don't be shy!!

To apply: Please email sales@polkadoodles.co.uk BEFORE 19 June 2012! PLEASE state POLKADOODLES DT CALL in your email TITLE and including your blog link, a short paragraph about why you want to be on the team and attach images of your favourite 3 pieces of work you have personally created on the email. We will notify you by email before the end of June and will reply to everyone who applies by 30 June.

We look forward to receiving all your emails and seeing your creative wonderment - woohooo!! x

Another post from me today!! I was watching a Dina Wakley video where she was saying you should just put some colour down onto some tags and it inspires you. So I did!! And this is what I made.

They all have Dylusions sprays for backgrounds and various masks, stamps etc.

For this one I embossed it and went over with a white powder. The sun, cloud and crow are images from Crowabout Studio B. I then used some Making Memories rub ons.

For my second tag I've used a Stampotique stamp, sequin waste and Lisa's Altered Art words. The white circles are acrylic paint on a glue lid top.

My third tag is a Lisa's Altered Art image and I've used cream paint through a mask for the tiny squares.

I've made 6 tags altogether 2 each of the same background. Not used the other 3 yet so we'll see what I do with them later.

Cute Card Thursday & Mojo Monday

Lol I'm on a roll this week. Said to myself less faffing about on the PC and more crafting!! So you get to see what I've been up to....

Our theme this week on Cute Card Thursday is

Punch Drunk!

For my card I've used this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

And here is my card.

Papers:- Prima - En Francais
Image & Sentiment :- Whimsy Stamps ( I actually got a set free with a mag)

I used a Martha Stewart border punch and 3 different flower punches. All the papers have been edged with walnut distress ink. I've coloured the image with Copics and added some stickles.

The other DT girls have made some gorgeous cards and if you pop over to the CCT Challenge blog you'll be able to see them. Hopefully you'll join in with us too. :0)

Another digi layout

I enjoyed going back to digiscrapping so much that I made another page. This time using a different kit and a template.

Template:- Cornelia Designs
Kit:- Cinzia Loosemore - Grateful Heart

We like to get the kids out and about (when the Scottish weather allows!) so we go geocaching. This layout tells the story of our latest geocache.

Here it is  Studio 12 - Picknix Collection 1

Polka Doodles Challenge

Good Friday morning, almost the weekend yay!! So today I'd like to show you my card for the Polkadoodles challenge. The challenge is to use.......

Regal Colours Diamond Jubilee

So here is my card.

I've used an assortment of different papers from various Polkadoodle CDS. The papers are from Pretty Tuff  , Not for Girls and I've also used the flag paper from the freebie "Britannia" that Nikky offered on the Facebook group. The papers have been edged with a blue ink. I also made some bunting from the papers. The image is from Candy Doodles and I've used Copic to colour him. Just some little buttons to embellish the card too.

The other DT girls have made some great Jubilee colour projects. If you take a peek on the Polkadoodles Challenge blog you'll be able to get some inspiration and join in with us.
