My Mum's Craft Shop, Cute Card Thursday & Sketch Saturday

Well , this card is 3 things rolled into one. I made it for Cute Card Thursday with the Sketch Saturday sketch but used everything from My Mum's Craft Shop!!

The theme for Cute Card Thursday is

A Stitch in Time
Here's the sketch

And here is my card

I've used some brand new papers by Bazzill Basics called Beach House. I used them for the background papers and for the little tag embellies. They have been cut from the papers and stitched around and inked.  They really are gorgeous papers. The image is from CC Designs and is called Beachy Beatrice. She has been coloured with Copics.

All available from My Mum's Craft Shop.

We'd love you to join in with us at CCT , why not go over and take a look at the other DT girls work here.

My Mum's Craft Shop

This project was made for the My Mum's Craft Shop blog. I made a little treat box.

Front view

Side view

I made the box with Coordination card stock. I've used the gorgeous Bo Bunny Serenity paper pad for the front. The image and sentiment are from a set by Stamping Bella called Lolly and her brolly. She's been coloured with Copics and the raindrops have a little bit of lace stickles on them. I cut the sentiment up and edged it with turquoise brillance ink. The flourishes Cheery Lynn's Mini Fanciful Flourishes have been cut out of a sheet of paper from the same Bo Bunny pad Then just some Bo Bunny Serenity gems to finish the box off.

Texture for Creative Expressions DT call.

Here is a canvas that I made using Dylusions spray inks, acrylic paints, die cuts, stamps, masks and pastels. This is the first canvas I ever made and I wanted to add lots of texture to it. It's hanging in my craft room.

I'm showing this today on my blog as I'm applying to the Creative Expressions Design Team Call and one of the stipulations is to make a piece using lots of texture.

If you would like to apply the call is here.

My Mum's Craft Shop

Kitty has started to get in some gorgeous Christmas products into  My Mum's Craft Shop. One of my fav paper pads that I've seen so far has got to be the new Bazzill Basics - Believe pad. Traditional colours but gorgeous patterns. So I had to use it to make my card.

I've done my usual and machine stitched and distress inked around the edges. The two little song sheets are part of a sheet of paper so I just cut them out. I've not bought any new Christmas stamps yet this year but I wanted my image to be something new so I looked around the shop and thought hmmm I could use this one it's very versatile. So I've used the new CC Designs - School Hansel. He can be used for anything not just for school cards. I coloured him with my trusty Copics. I then sat him on a bench image. The papers have such great patterns that I didn't go overboard with the embellies so I just added some tiny gems and ribbon.

Have a lovely weekend. My daughter is coming home for a couple of days , let's hope the weather stays nice!!

Canvas and easel

Friday!!! Roll on tomorrow when my daughter is coming home for the weekend from Uni, really looking forward to seeing her.
So today is my turn on the Studio12 Polkadoodle blog. I've made a canvas to go on an easel.

I took a blank canvas and covered it with matt medium and then adhered the large rose paper from the All Sewn Up kit from the Picknix Collection 1 CD. I printed out the elements from the same All Sewn Up kit and inked them with walnut distress ink. I punched out the butterflies using the smaller rose paper and used them for a skirt for the dressmakers dummy. The buttons have been cut with a Marianne Designs die and the buttons from the CD. The sentiment is also from All Sewn Up. Before adhering the elements I used gesso and a flower mask to add some texture and also inked through some sequin waste. I also dabbed over some ink to make it look vintagey an also smeared some light pink paint over the canvas. The elements and sentiment were then adhered.

Don't forget to keep going over to the Studio 12 blog to see the fab projects the DT show.

Thinking of you

Here's a card I made for My Mum's Craft Shop using the cute little image by CC Designs called Lolli Beatrice.

Some of my Copics are starting to run out so I did a little experiment and mixed my colouring using both Copics and Promarkers and it worked. Just in case you were wondering! I stamped her out onto a Spellbinders die.
The papers are Prima - Doodle Deux (my fav for now) and I've stitched around them with turquoise thread to match the papers. I cut out the three circles from the same paper pad as it gives you pages with little tags and embellies. I applied some glossy accents to them. The flowers are from the same papers and I've again used a Spellbinders die. Kitty has lots of flower dies to choose from in the shop.
I didn't have the right colour gem so I used a promarker to colour a clear gem to orange to put in the middles. I've also done the same to the border gems.
The flourish is a Cheery Lynn die and is called Mini Fanciful Flourish. They have been cut with the same papers.
And lastly the sentiment is from Creative Expressions - Art Sayings.

All these products can be found at Kitty's My Mum's Craft Shop.

I'll be back to show you more projects on Thursday, have a good week till then.

My Mum's Craft Shop

Morning from a grey and rainy Scotland. Today I'd like to show you a card that I've designed for the My Mum's Craft Shop blog featuring a CC Designs stamp called Sweet November Garden Girl Gertie.

Gertie has been coloured with Copics and I've used a little TH Distress Ink Barn Door around the edges of the card. The papers are from Carta Bella - Beautiful Moments. I've inked them and also stitched around them. The fence is a Doo Hickey - Lovely Fence die. I've given it a bit of colour with the TH barn door ink. My favourite die at the moment is this Mini Fanciful Flourish from Cheery Lynn and I've used it on this card to drape over the main image and tag. The tag is from the same paper pad. I used the words from the Creative Expressions - Art Sayings. Some lovely little roses complete the card.

Kitty has just put on the website some brand new products. Really gorgeous stash, just wish I was a millionaire!!! You can see it all  on My Mum's Craft Shop.
Have a great weekend!!

The papers are from the  Magical Winter 2 CD. I've edged them with walnut distress ink. I added some pink gingham ribbon and gems. The sentiment is from the Here Comes Christmas CD.

Welcome to my world

Yay kids back at school today, not so yay that I have to get up and dressed early!! At least I'll be able to craft a bit more now.

Today I'd like to show you a card I made using inks and watercolour paper for My Mums Craft Shop.

First I took a piece of square watercolour paper slightly smaller than my card blank and spritzed it with water. Then I sprayed over some of the gorgeous Dylusions ink sprays in Bubblegum Pink and Vibrant Turquoise. When mixed they make the purple colour. On a previous card I used the Cheery Lynn mini fanciful flourish die but I didn't want to throw away the waste so on this card I used it as a stencil with cream acrylic paint. To add a little texture I used a Tando Creative sequin waste mask with a little black ink. The border was made with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and paper from the Prima Doodle Deux paper pad. I inked the edges with TH milled lavendar distress ink. I then used a piece of ribbon to put across the middle and made a bow. As you can see I even kept the butterflies from the punch outs to use on my card. I added little pink gems to their centres. The flowers and girl are from the Creative Expressions - Artful Ladies collection. The flowers were stamped in versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder, cut out and a gem added. The lady is coloured in Copics and her wings are covered in shimmer mist. To finish off I added the sentiment which is from Creative Expressions - Art Sayings.

Everything is available from My Mum's Craft Shop.

You can see lots of great inspirational projects on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog here.

Dancing in the rain

My turn to post on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog and I want to show you a card I made using some gorgeous products from the shop.

I've used a fab Stamping Bella Uptown girls stamp called Lolly and her brolly. Love the sentiment that comes with this stamp set. I've coloured her with Copics and cut around her. I cut the sentiment up into 3 pieces and inked the edges with a Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink
The papers are all from a gorgeous new pad from Prima called Doodle Deux. The papers are really quirky and in great colours The vines are a die from Memory Box and this one is called Floral Vine. I cut it out with some of the same Prima papers. The flourish is another die by Cheery Lynn Designs and is called Mini Fanciful Flourish. Again I've cut it out of the same papers. The flowers are from a Spellbinder die and I've just curled the edges of two of the sizes to make a layered flower and then added a gem to the centre. All the background papers have been stitched with a zigzag stitch. Finally some little gems finished the card off.

Im off on an adventure today, don't know where! It's a lovely day and we travel free on the trains so we are just going to get on a train and see where it takes us. Have a lovely weekend.

Cute Card Thursday

Another Thursday , time is flying this year. My kids go back to school on Tuesday!!!

Anyway it's Thursday so it's Cute Card Thursday Challenge time again and this week the theme is

Tag You're It

We would like to see a tag or a tag on your project.

I've made a tag.

So I started off with a kraft tag and covered it with ripped pieces of  bookprint papers. I then sprayed them with dylusions inks. Next I stippled cream paint through some sequin waste to make the dots. The image is a Gorjuss girl , I think it's called Owl. I coloured her with Copics and cut her out. The sentiment is from Creative Expressions - Art Sayings. The edges are inked and then I sprayed the whole thing with perfect pearls shimmer.

As always there is a prize for one lucky winner. Hope to see your tag project at Cute Card Thursday.

Willow Sketchie Challenge

It's the Willow Sketchie Challenge today and the theme for this week is

Warm Colours - Red, orange, yellow etc

And also if you would like to there is a sketch

Here's my card

I've used papers and image from the Walter & Winnie does Christmas CD Rom.  I've used a spellbinder die  to cut around Winnie. The sentiment is also from the same CD which I cut out and inked around. The middle papers have been punched with an all around Martha Stewart punch.

My Mums Craft Shop

I had some fantastic news last week in that I was picked to be August's Guest Designer for My Mum's Craft Shop!! I was over the moon as Kitty stocks all the things that I love!! So today is my first post showing off some of her products available in the shop.

For my card I'm showing you one of the gorgeous Saturated Canary images that My Mum's Craft Shop has on pre order. She is called Nevaeh . I've never coloured a Saturated Canary image before because to be honest I was a bit daunted by them but............ I loved it!! They are fairly easy to colour and look great!! I've used Copics to colour my image in. The papers are a really pretty pad from Prima called En Francais. This is a really versatile pad as it has pages where you can cut them up, this is where my tickets and scallop label came from. I've stitched around the papers with a burgundy thread. The "thinking of you" comes from a set of stamps by Creative Expressions called Art Sayings.
Finally some pearls to finish off!!

If you'd like to see lots more gorgeous projects from My Mum's Craft Shop there is a blog showcasing some beautiful projects that the DT have made. You can find it here.
