Butterfly Flutterby

Because I'd been doing a lot of girl images lately I thought I'd make a mixed media card today.

For the background I used stamps from Lisa Horton by Creative Expressions. I stamped using the Tim Holtz oxide inks and paint spatters.
The butterfly images have been inked with a black versafine pad and then clear embossed. I have used the new Spectrum Noir Triblends to colour them and again I used paint spatters.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

This week's challenge for Cute Card Thursday is

"Greens"

My card features one of the new releases from Time For Tea Designs called "Gardening Emily & Ernie".

I've used the new Spectrum Noir triblend pens for my images.

                                    No photo description available.

Here's a close up view

This was my first try with the pens and I must say I was impressed with them. I found them quite juicy (which I like) and they blended really easily. I'm looking forward to them bringing out more colours.

This week we are sponsored by My Creative Scoop. One lucky winner will receive a $10 voucher to spend in the etsy shop.

Good Luck!

Time For Tea Designs

This week's inspiration post for my DT spot with Time For Tea Designs features one of the new releases. This one is called "Reading Rosie and Ralph".
She is available from the Time For Tea Designs store here.

I've coloured the image with Copics. I made her nice and bright with spring colours as it is like spring here in Scotland. Let's hope it lasts!
I added some pretty spotty paper to accentuate the image and also some lovely lime sequins.

Don't forget we have a challenge going on with an Anything Goes theme. It's on the Facebook Time For Tea Designs Community page here.

Have a good week!

Time For Tea with Beats Bella

It's my day to post my card for my Time For Tea Designs DT inspiration.
I've used one of the new releases called "Beats Bella".

She can be found ( along with all the new releases) in the Time For Tea Designs store here.

To make Bella's background I sprayed some oxide inks with water and then smooshed the card through it. I did this several times making sure each layer was dry each time.
I then printed out Bella and used my Scan and Cut to cut around here leaving a small border.
She has been coloured with Copics.

Don't forget we have an Anything Goes Challenge on the Time For Tea FB community page which you can find here. Would love to see you join in!

Till next week have a good week.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

This week's theme for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge is

Wings

I've used a patterned paper for the background and then stamped a selection of mixed media stamps from AAL & Create in black ink randomly onto it.
I then stamped the bird image in black ink onto another co ordination patterned paper and added a few splats. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock and cut out randomly and then layered onto black cardstock.
A simple but effective card :0)

This week we are sponsored by All Dressed Up. One lucky winner will receive some ADU digi stamps as their prize.

Good Luck!!

Time For Tea Designs "Valentines"

Today it's my turn for a little Time For Tea Designs project for Valentines and I'd like to show you a gorgeous digi image called "First Love Phoebe".

Load image into Gallery viewer, First Love Phoebe Digital Stamp

I've coloured her hair and skin with Copics and then gave her a lovely patterned pieced outfit.

You can find her in the Time For Tea Designs store here.

She's ideal to make into a Valentine's card. I've used Sizzix thinlits dies to embellish my card.

Cute Card Thursday & CAS(E) Challenges

This week's theme for Cute Card Thursday is

Anything Goes

For this card I've also followed the CAS(E) this sketch challenge. Here's the sketch I've followed

I've used a Time For Tea digi image called "Winter Hoodie" ( she's not in the shop yet as it's just been opened and all the images haven't been brought over yet) and I finally got out my Polychromos again. Need a bit of practise but not too bad lol. I did still use my Copics for the skin as I only have 24 pencils and I couldn't find a nice skin combo.
I've cut her out using my Scan & Cut. The die at the bottom of the card is a Sizzix Tim Holtz die.
The sentiment is a stamp set by CZ Design and is called Hello You.

This week we are sponsored by Whimsy Stamps.

Good Luck

Time For Tea Designs

I can finally announce I have been picked for the T4T design team yay!!!!

Time For Tea Designs have had a total make over and now have a new shop and blog here

                                                               Time For Tea Designs

So to celebrate I made this cute Valentine's card featuring Phoebe Hugs.

I've used my scan & cut to cut the image out leaving a little border.
I then coloured her with Copics.
The background is a cut file which I've cut using my Silhouette Cameo in a white cardstock.
I then layered it up onto red then black cardstock.
I cut out the hugs using a die and again layered it up so it would stand out.

She makes an ideal image to use on your Valentine's cards!
