She Took A Deep Breath And Let It Go

My clock mechanism arrived at last. I made this clock last week and was waiting impatiently for it.

The girl image and sentiment is from an Unity Stamp Company set called  "She never says never".
This is one of my favourite kits and I wanted to make something for the house so I can see it all the time.
The blank clock is from Hobbycraft which is just the clock face and numbers.
The papers are Teresa Collins - Everyday Moments.
I bought the clock mechanism off ebay.

A little bit of mixed media

So yesterday I made this card and added the final touches this morning. It's a mixed media card featuring lots of AALL & Create stamps.

It all started off when I saw the woman with the balloon. I loved the set so bought and the others kind of plopped into my basket too :0)

The background has been made with gesso and watercolours.

Stamp sets: AALL & Create #5 #23 #39

I think I have a new addiction!!!

Thanks!

Hi there from a very wet Scotland. That's our summer gone then. But it does mean lots of craft time lol.

So today's card is for the CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

Here's the sketch

And here's my card.

I've used a stamp set by Unity Stamp Company called ....Smile it's your day. It's a sentiment kit from July 2015. I love the whimsical feel of this kit.
                                        Smile, It's Your Day {july 2015 sentiment kit}

I've used the water & ink splat method for the background so I could keep it CAS. The inks are  Memento dew drops. They're ideal for this sort of stamping as they come in lots of shades of the same colours.

Hope you're having better weather than me!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

Well after being away from being on the Design Team at  Cute Card Thursday I've decided (as I've got loads of crafty time now) to get back into it.

So this week's challenge is "Just For Girls". This week we are being sponsored by Patricia Alvarez at Kinda Cute.
I've used Hippie Girl Dancing for my card.

My background has been made by smooshing a piece of white card over my craft mat. I lay down some Distress Oxide ink in Faded Jeans and then spritzed with water. Then smooshed the card. I cut her out with my Scan n Cut so there's a little border around her. I then coloured her hair and skin with Copics. Her outfit has been paperpieced.

Digi Stamp: Kinda Cute - Hippie Girl Dancing
Ink: Distress Oxide - Faded Jeans
Sentiment: Clearyly Besotted - Sweet Little Sentiments
Dies: Sizzix Thinlits - Frames
Papers: First Edition - Wanderlust

The prize for one lucky winner will be 3 digital stamps from the Kinda Cute store.

Find Your Way

Today's card is quite a big card it's a 7 x 7 as the main image is a BIG stamp. The set is from Unity Stamp Company and is called Colliope and is designed by Donna Downey. It's a great kit to use in your mixed media projects.

Colliope

I made the background with my Gel Press and Brushos. For the accent pieces I used stencils, paint, stamps, bottle tops, credit card, inks and a white pen.
I watercoloured the girl and paper pieced her top.
I find layering up the main image that is mixed media with black card really makes it pop. So that is what I did and I also layered up the sentiments with black card. The girl and sentiments have been adhered to the card with 3D dots.

New Releases From Unity

There are several new releases and Graciellie Stamps are on sale at Unity Stamp Company and you can find them all here.

I've used 3 of the kits to make these cards.

First up is "Stay Strong"
Stay Strong

I've made the background by using TH distress oxide inks and distress resist spray with a stencil. Then I used a coffee splatter stamp.
The Coffee stamp has been put onto a piece of vellum and overlayed onto some patterned paper.

The second card is a set called "A Christmas Hello" and is on sale at the moment.

The stamp set has been coloured with Copics with a little added glitter and a white pen for highlights. Again I have put the sentiment onto vellum.
You can save $14.51 on this kit at the moment!

My third and final card is made using another sale kit called "Obsessively Grateful".

I've watercoloured the leaves and splattered a plain white background. I layered up the image with black and orange card to make it pop.
Again you can save $14.51 on this set too!

There are so many beautiful Gracielle stamp sets on sale at the moment why not treat yourself?

Unity & Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Today's card is a mixed media card. I decided to get messy and make my own background as the theme for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is Distress It. And I've used the new Unity Stamp Company's August Uniquely Unity stamp kit.

Paints: DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics
Modelling paste: DecoArt Media
Stamps & Stencils: From my stash (I've got rid of labels)
Sentiment: Unity Stamp Company - August Uniquely Unity

A bit of Unity hotness :0)

Just a fun card for today.

I've used lots of Unity sets/kits for this card.

                   Sentiment Kit - Frankly Said
Sentiment Kit - I Want You To Know
Jolande & Marlene set - Vibes

  1. So first I cut a layer slightly smaller than the base card in a kraft linen card and clear embossed the square stamp from the Vibes set and adhered it to the base card.
  2. I then took a piece of white linen card slightly smaller than the kraft card and watercoloured a background onto it in browns and blues.
  3. I stamped the same vibes stamp randomly over the background using a distress ink in vintage photo. In black ink I stamped the text stamp from the I want you to know sentiment kit randomly too.
  4. The hey stud image and hotness sentiment were stamped onto white linen with black ink and clear embossed. The hey stud image has been coloured with copics and then cut out leaving a little border. I then used the vintage photo around the edges.
  5. The hotness sentiment was layered onto a piece of the kraft linen card.
  6. I then stamped out the washi tape in black ink and adhered it to the card.
  7. Lastly I adhered the watercoloured background onto the kraft with 3D tape.
A great fun masculine card!

                                                Kit of the Month

I've coloured the image with Prismacolour pencils this time with a little white pen to highlight some areas.
For the background paper I took a piece of patterned paper and stencilled onto it. I did this by die cutting a Sizzix Mixed Media #2 die and then using it as a stencil.

Bright Chameleon!

I've joined in with two challenges for this card the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and the theme is "Make your own background" and the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which is "Anything Goes".
So I've used the paint stripes in the Clearly Besotted - Colour Chameleon stamp set and some SU ink pads to create the background. I've also "splashed" some of the inks mixed with water onto the stripes.
I coloured the images using the SU inks and a watercolour pen.
