Crafty SVG Designs 3D layered christmas card - Snapdragon Snippets

Today's project is a beautiful 3D card.

The svg file is from one of our new designers on Snapdragon Snippets - Crafty SVG Designs. I tried to cut it on my Cameo but it didn't cut it well enough so I tried to cut it on my Explore and it worked perfectly. And... this is the reason why I bought an Explore it cuts intricate cuts so much better.
I've used Papermill white linen card for all of it. I added glitter acetate to the very back of the card and also some fine glitter accents to the other layers. Which you can't see very well!!

Cute Card Thursday

Today's project is for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge and the theme is......

Vintage

So here's my project, a Vintage Mad Hatter's Hat. It is 9 inches tall and 11 inches wide.

I have used a SVG Attic kit called Mad Tea Party kit. I've used the files that make the hat base, the price tag and the rolled flowers for this one. All cut on my Silhouette Cameo.
The black card is from Papermill Direct and I have embossed it and then used pewter gilding wax to bring the embossing out. I cut out the price using Papermill kraft card.
For the stamped images which are from Artistic Outpost I used Papermill luxury artist pad which is like a watercolour card. I stamped them with TH vintage photo distress ink and then used a water pen to drag the colour.
For the embellishments I cut the rolled flower file and used the same distress ink to colour the edges of the flowers. The lace has also been coloured with the ink. The hat pins were originally pink or white but I covered them in embossing ink and then embossed them with distress gold embossing powder. A little sprinkle of frantage fragments on the brim and it's finished.

Our sponsor this week is Sunflower Field.

Im also entering this project into a couple of challenges

The Artistic Stamper Challenge - Anything Goes

Snapdragon Snippets & Papermill Direct

Just back from a lovely day at Crammond Beach just outside Edinburgh. Gorgeous sunny day too! We actually had something that I haven't seen for a very long time too. Do you remember Oysters from the ice cream van? Yummy!
Well I think my project that I'm showing is just right for today, it's a flip flop 3D box from Snapdragon Snippets.  I cut the file on my Cameo. It's really easy to put together and looks fab when finished.
I've used some lovely summer colours from Papermill Direct for the card. The card is Ocean Blue and Lime Green. This colour card is ideal for all your summer projects.

So here is my flip flop

Docraft Star Decoration

Today's post is another Docrafts product, the Star Decoration XCut die. It's available from the Docrafts online shop here.

It's such a gloomy dull day here in Scotland it was hard to get a good picture but the true colours are the one in the close up.

"Create"

I made this one yesterday as the weather wasn't too good and the kids were amusing themselves.
It's made on my Cameo and is a file by Marji Roy on the Sil store.

I have used all Papermill card. Details below.

A side view so you can see the depth of the letter.

A close up so you can see the texture of the card.

I have used Papermill plain black card for the frame, this is a nice sturdy card great for frames as it holds up well. For the letters I have used the hammered white card, again this is really sturdy too.

Both card is available from the Papermill shop here

This will go on top of my craft wardrobe. :0)

Favourite Things

Three of my favourite things today ......

Gorjuss Girls
Lori Whitlock file
Patterned papers

The card has been cut with my Cammie using Papermill white card and a Lori Whitlock file called 3D stand up card: Birthday Balloons.  Really easy but effective card to make. It has a fold in the middle so it stands up nicely. I've used a lovely little 6x6 paper pad by American Crafts in the Dear Lizzy range it's called Lucky Charm. The stamp is an older Gorjuss girl stamp, the older ones are a bit smaller and suit this style of card better. I've paper pieced her with the same papers. The sentiment has been done on my computer.

Lori Whitlock file - Birthday Balloons (also available in the silhouette store).

I made this yesterday , what shall i make today???

Friday, 30 May 2014

Hi bloggers, I have decided to step down from my DT post on All Dressed Up , so I am only on the one DT now that is Cute Card Thursday. I will be staying on CCT too. I was DT right from the start and it's a fab DT to work for.
I am wanting to concentrate more on my 3D work. I have a Silhouette Cameo which I love but I also have a Cricut Explore on preorder. I really enjoy making 3D projects and it chills me out which I need right now.

So in saying that I've had time to make this fab pop up card for my daughter to give to her teacher at the end of the term.
Of course it's by my favourite designer Lori Whitlock and is called A2 desk pop up card. It's available in the Silhouette store.

Here is the front of the card

And here is the inside pop up desk

Isn't it cool? You can dress it up however you want. I made mine a bit masculine as it's for a male teacher.

Silhouette file : Lori Whitlock A2 desk pop up card.
Papers: WRMK - Hall Pass
Brads: My stash
White card: Papermill

I'll be doing lots more 3D projects very soon and when I get my Explore I'll let you know how it is.

Window Slider Card

Hello bloggers today I'd like to show you a card I just made.
Because of health reasons I've given up most of my DT work except the two which I feel I want to keep on. But now I have more time to do what I love doing most and that's using my Cameo to make 3D projects.
So there will be lots of those on my blog very soon including one for this week's CCT on Thursday.

Enough waffle now onto today's card.

I used a file by my favourite designer Lori Whitlock - Window slider card : bracket. You can find it in the Sil store.
The papers are by American Crafts and are called Colour Crush.
And of course the image is a Gorjuss image called Bluebird Proposal.

More from me on Thursday .
