A bit of Tri Fold Gorjuss

Today's make is a Tri Fold Lace card. It has been cut on my Cameo and is a file by yes you guessed it Lori Whitlock. Yesterday the new files came out in the Sil shop and this is just one of them that caught my eye. There are also three other styles in the tri fold card range too, all avialable from Lori's store of the Sil store.
I've cut it with Papermill Direct white linen card, my fav card to use with my Cameo and Explore.

This is the card closed , it is held together with a little band.

And here it is open.

Cut file - Lori Whitlock - Tri Fold Card - Lace
White linen card - Papermill Direct
Papers - Docraft Capsule - Wild Rose
Image - Gorjuss stamp - The Collector

I've coloured the Gorjuss girl's skin and hair with Shin Han pens.

Papermill Direct Offer

This week's offer from Papermill Direct is a lovely embossed card.

A4 Ivory Card Delicately Leather Embossed 230gsm - From only £5.00

We are delighted to be able to offer this Delicately Leather Embossed A4 Ivory Card 230gsm

There are two box sizes to choose from:

Small Box (Approximately 80 sheets) only £5.00
Midi Box (Approximately 260 sheets) only £13.50

I have made 3 projects using the lovely card. It's ideal for using in your die cutting machine, stamping and colouring on and 3D work.

My first project is a gorgeous pinwheel penny slider card. I've cut it on my Silhouette Cameo and it's a file by Lori Whitlock
So the card is the lightly embossed ivory card. Papers are by Pebbles - Walnut Grove.

My second project is another Silhouette Cameo file by Lori Whitlock  This one is a Thank you pop up drawer card.
The base is the ivory lighty embossed card and the papers are Pebbles - Family Ties.

There is a little space at the back to add a gift card or small chocolate bar.

And my final project is a little square card. The base is the special offer card and I've also stamped and coloured onto it too.
I've cut and drawn the border and sentiment with my Cricut Explore and coloured and paper pieced the Gorjuss image.

The other DT Papermill girls have also made some fantastic projects to show off the special offer card too.

Reach for the stars!

Here's my card for the challenge. I went totally blank for this challenge but managed to fit some stars in!

The card blank has been cut with the Cricut Explore as has the black border lines. The Gorjuss girl is called "On top of the world". I've coloured her skin and hair with Shin Hans and paper pieced her clothes with First Edition Owl Love papers. The stars have been cut on my Cameo with the same papers. The 3D stars are a file by Sweet Afton.

Two CAS cards

Today I'd like to show you two CAS cards that I've made with Papermill products and my Cricut Explore.

This first one I have used the Papermill Smooth White card, as it's ideal for stamping straight onto.
I cut the card blank with my Cricut Explore and then used the pen facility to draw the line border and write the text. The stamp is a gorjuss girl called "Hang me up to dry". She has been coloured with Shin Han pens and Copics.

My second card has been made with Papermill White Linen card as the blank and I've also used the same card to cut the doiley.
Same again I cut the card blank on my Cricut Explore and also drew the lines and sentiment using the draw option. I stamped the Gorjuss girl "I gave you my heart" onto smooth white and coloured her hair and skin with Shin Han pens and I then paper pieced the rest of her with papers from a Lily of the Valley/Nitwit Perfect Pair pad.

Loving my Explore!

Explore meets Gorjuss

Today I'm showing a card that I just made for fun, no challenge involved this time.
I've used my Cricut Explore for this one.

So I started off with a ready made card file from the Cricut Design Space but added a few bits and pieces to it.
Cricut project - Doily and Rosette card. ( although I didn't use the rosette).
Card - Papermill white card. (The explore scored it beautifully).
Frame - Home Decor image set from the CDS.
Papers - Prima
Image - Gorjuss girl

I've been really impressed with the way the Explore had been cutting intricate designs. Here is a couple of close ups of the doiley and frame.

The doiley was cut with patterned paper

and the frame has been cut with Papermill white card.

Totally Gorjuss & Sketch Saturday Challenges

Its been a rubbish rainy day here again so I thought I'd try a challenge card. I found two that I'd like to have a go at Sketch Saturday and Totally Gorjuss Challenges.

For the Sketch Saturday challenge you could use any sketch so I used this sketch from way back in October.

The theme for Totally Gorjuss is "Stitching". So I think I've fit the bill with this card.

Gorjuss stamp - Toadstools ( I have my bestie Tracy to thank for this , she bought it as a surprise for me for my birthday). I had to mostly paper piece the image , my hands didn't want to play today so I could only manage to colour the hair and skin.

Paper pad - Hobbycraft Autumn Collection  This is a really lovely paper pad I didn't expect it to be all that as it was quite cheap and it being a Hobbycraft own brand but I was pleasantly surprised.

Sentiment was computer generated. the heart borders are by Martha Stewart and are a punch.

Favourite Things

Three of my favourite things today ......

Gorjuss Girls
Lori Whitlock file
Patterned papers

The card has been cut with my Cammie using Papermill white card and a Lori Whitlock file called 3D stand up card: Birthday Balloons.  Really easy but effective card to make. It has a fold in the middle so it stands up nicely. I've used a lovely little 6x6 paper pad by American Crafts in the Dear Lizzy range it's called Lucky Charm. The stamp is an older Gorjuss girl stamp, the older ones are a bit smaller and suit this style of card better. I've paper pieced her with the same papers. The sentiment has been done on my computer.

Lori Whitlock file - Birthday Balloons (also available in the silhouette store).

I made this yesterday , what shall i make today???
