We are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps this week so I have used the lovely Turtles - Fall digistamp. I've coloured him with Copics and put him on a Spellbinders diecut.
Papers are Prima - Blooming Retro
Sentiment is from Lilly of the Valley and again stamped onto a Spellbinder diecut.
The Leaves are made from a Martha Stewart punch and the same Prima papers.

I hope you'll join me in my first DT challenge. You can find all the details here.

Cute Card Thursday & Sketch Saturday

I've combined my DT card for Cute Card Thursday with the Sketch Saturday Challenge. The theme at CCT is

Letters or Numbers

Here's the sketch for Sketch Saturday

And here's my card

CCT is sponsored by Bugaboo stamps this week so I've used a Bugaboo stamp called Ruby Fabulous 40.

Papers: Papermania - Happy Days.

I've edged the papers with red distress ink and stitched around them. The tickets and bottle tops have been cut from the papers. Image is coloured with Copics.

We'd love you to join in with us at CCT so why not pop over for some inspiration?

Steampunk Christmas

My first DT card for Creative Expressions and I've used the gorgeous new set from Sam Poole called Steampunk Christmas.

Umount Steampunk Christmas A5 Stamp Plate

Here's my card

To start with I used the tree stamp as a background. I masked off the stand of the tree and used an embossing ink pad and clear embossing ink. I stamped one in the middle of the card and then arranged more of the image around it.
Using a worn lipstick TH distress pad I rubbed over the card , pressing harder in some parts. I then took a damp baby wipe and swiped over the ink to make the embossed bits "pop".
I then stitched around the edges with a brown ink.
Next I gold embossed the grid stamp around 3 of the corners.
I stamped out the bird and coloured him in with walnut and worn lipstick distress inks. I added some gold to the cog in his hat and a red gem to his eye.
The small cogs were gold embossed and I added a little triangle to the top of the cogs with a gold pen to make them look like baubles. I split some threads up from bakers twine and added them to the baubles and attached them to his beak, adding a little bow to the top. The bird and baubles were then adhered to the card with 3D pads.
I didn't have red bakers twine so I ran the worn lipstick ink along it to make it appear more red. I added it to the bottom of the card.
I then randomly swiped a little walnut ink over the card to tone it down a bit.
Finally I gold embossed the sentiment onto some card, cut around it and used the worn lipstick to swipe over and edge it. These were also adhered with 3D pads.

I found this set really versatile and easy to use.

I'll be showing more projects using Creative Expressions products very soon.

Creative Expressions...............

So............. a little while back I had some surprising but fantastic news.

I made the Creative Expressions 2012 Design Team.

I uhmmmeed and ahhheed and nearly didn't apply, leaving it till the last minute but hubby said "Go on you have nothing to lose". So I did and I'm not just saying it but after looking at the 2011 DT's work I thought I wouldn't have a chance. Outstanding projects!!

I really do need to up my game and hopefully with the gorgeous stamps and products they have I won't let them down.

Today I received my first DT stamp set. Lol a great artist whose stamps I love and have used in the past. The one I received is a brand new one from this artist that I know you will love!!
So in the next couple of days I'll be showing you a project using the stamp set. Can you guess which one it is?
