Cute Card Thursday

It's the Cute Card Thursday Challenge time again and the theme for this week is...

A Different Corner

This week we want to see you do something with the one or more of the corners of your card. That can be anything from a corner on your image, rounded corners, corner bookmark...or even a card base with no corners...whatever takes your fancy!

My corner is a Silhouette Cameo die cut.

Image: Saturated Canary - Hugs and Kisses
Papers: Prima - Doodle Deux
Heart border: Martha Stewart punch

We'd love for you to join in with our challenge this week. One lucky winner will win a $15 gift certificate from Alota Stamps.

The DT girls have made some gorgeous cards. Please go take a look and join in. You can find all the details here.

Thinking of you

Here's a card I made for My Mum's Craft Shop using the cute little image by CC Designs called Lolli Beatrice.

Some of my Copics are starting to run out so I did a little experiment and mixed my colouring using both Copics and Promarkers and it worked. Just in case you were wondering! I stamped her out onto a Spellbinders die.
The papers are Prima - Doodle Deux (my fav for now) and I've stitched around them with turquoise thread to match the papers. I cut out the three circles from the same paper pad as it gives you pages with little tags and embellies. I applied some glossy accents to them. The flowers are from the same papers and I've again used a Spellbinders die. Kitty has lots of flower dies to choose from in the shop.
I didn't have the right colour gem so I used a promarker to colour a clear gem to orange to put in the middles. I've also done the same to the border gems.
The flourish is a Cheery Lynn die and is called Mini Fanciful Flourish. They have been cut with the same papers.
And lastly the sentiment is from Creative Expressions - Art Sayings.

All these products can be found at Kitty's My Mum's Craft Shop.

I'll be back to show you more projects on Thursday, have a good week till then.

Dancing in the rain

My turn to post on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog and I want to show you a card I made using some gorgeous products from the shop.

I've used a fab Stamping Bella Uptown girls stamp called Lolly and her brolly. Love the sentiment that comes with this stamp set. I've coloured her with Copics and cut around her. I cut the sentiment up into 3 pieces and inked the edges with a Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink
The papers are all from a gorgeous new pad from Prima called Doodle Deux. The papers are really quirky and in great colours The vines are a die from Memory Box and this one is called Floral Vine. I cut it out with some of the same Prima papers. The flourish is another die by Cheery Lynn Designs and is called Mini Fanciful Flourish. Again I've cut it out of the same papers. The flowers are from a Spellbinder die and I've just curled the edges of two of the sizes to make a layered flower and then added a gem to the centre. All the background papers have been stitched with a zigzag stitch. Finally some little gems finished the card off.

Im off on an adventure today, don't know where! It's a lovely day and we travel free on the trains so we are just going to get on a train and see where it takes us. Have a lovely weekend.

My Mums Craft Shop

I had some fantastic news last week in that I was picked to be August's Guest Designer for My Mum's Craft Shop!! I was over the moon as Kitty stocks all the things that I love!! So today is my first post showing off some of her products available in the shop.

For my card I'm showing you one of the gorgeous Saturated Canary images that My Mum's Craft Shop has on pre order. She is called Nevaeh . I've never coloured a Saturated Canary image before because to be honest I was a bit daunted by them but............ I loved it!! They are fairly easy to colour and look great!! I've used Copics to colour my image in. The papers are a really pretty pad from Prima called En Francais. This is a really versatile pad as it has pages where you can cut them up, this is where my tickets and scallop label came from. I've stitched around the papers with a burgundy thread. The "thinking of you" comes from a set of stamps by Creative Expressions called Art Sayings.
Finally some pearls to finish off!!

If you'd like to see lots more gorgeous projects from My Mum's Craft Shop there is a blog showcasing some beautiful projects that the DT have made. You can find it here.

Remember the 3 tags from the post at the bottom of the page? Well there were 6, I used 3 and now I've created the other 3.

The backgrounds have been done with Dylusion spray inks and acrylic paint and stamps. The foregrounds have all been made with Sam Poole's Creative Studio stamp range. The figures have been coloured with Copics and the stamped embellies have been stamped out of a Prima Fairy Belle pad.

Stamps: Creative Studio  Art Sayings, Butterfly Girl, Artful ladies.
