Unity Stamp Company & My Sweet Petunia Blog Hop

Today we at Unity Stamp Company are collabarating with My Sweet Petunia.

I'd like to show you 4 projects from new releases from Unity.

My first is a kit called Shakin' Things Up.

And here's my card

I've fussy cut the image and coloured the base and owl with copics. I then added glitter to the snowflakes and adhered the sentiment with some 3D pads to make it stand out.

These two are from a kit called Wishing & Wishing by Lisa Glanz

                                No automatic alt text available.

I've teamed up this cute little image with some patterned papers and die cuts. The image has been coloured with Copics and I've added a little glitter to the dandelion and seeds.

I've again coloured the image with Copics and die cut him with a circle die. I've used patterned papers and dies again to finish the card.

My third card has been made with a kit called "Warm & Cozy Season".

Image may contain: drawing and text

The image has been paperpieced and Ive added some puffy snow to look like fur on her collar and for the bobble on her hat. The snowflake has been embossed with gold WOW powder.

For my first card I have used "Peppermint Mocha"

                                     No automatic alt text available.

I have stamped the images onto white card then paperpieced them onto vellum. I then fussy cut them.
For the background I have used an embossing folder with gold foil to make a distressed look.

Here's a close up.

Next up is a set called "Serenity is Peace".

                                           No automatic alt text available.

For this card I have stamped out the images and used Copic markers to colour them in. I stamped the tree stamp onto vellum to make a backdrop for the girl.

And lastly we have a set called "Warmth of Home".

                                        Image may contain: text

I have stamped out the images onto white card and then paper pieced them. I've used a kraft card blank for this one.

New Releases From Unity Stamp Company

Unity Stamp Company have several new releases and a massive sale going on.

And the four new Angie girls/guys are only $10!!! The new release planner girl is just $7.69.

So first up is two new Angie guys, Brian and Zeke Guy.

This is Brian Guy. I have paper pieced his outfit and used Copics to colour his skin and hair. The stars are a die by Sizzix. The sentiment is part of the Brian Guy kit.

Next is Zeke Guy. I think he looks super cool in his paper pieced outfit. Again I've used Copics for the skin and hair.

Now onto the two new pretty Angie Girls. They are called Clara Girl and the other kit is called Seasons of Life.

Here's Clara Girl. She reminds me of my teenage daughter , messy bun and always on the laptop. But I'm sure you can all relate to someone you know.  I've coloured her with just Copics.

And here's the Seasons of Life kit. Again she's been coloured with Copics too.

And lastly we have the Itty Bitty planner girl Spooky Girl.  To make the background I used seedless preserve and spiced marmalade oxide inks. I splashed a little water onto it to get the washed out bits. I then used the bubble stamp from the Unity stamp set - You Can Do It to stamp onto the background with black ink. I then highlighted the bubbles with a white pen. The circle die is from Memory Box and is called Circle Burst.  Spooky Girl has been coloured with Copics. The sentiment is part of the kit.

I hope I've inspired you to go shopping and buy these beautiful kits.

Have a great weekend.

She Took A Deep Breath And Let It Go

My clock mechanism arrived at last. I made this clock last week and was waiting impatiently for it.

The girl image and sentiment is from an Unity Stamp Company set called  "She never says never".
This is one of my favourite kits and I wanted to make something for the house so I can see it all the time.
The blank clock is from Hobbycraft which is just the clock face and numbers.
The papers are Teresa Collins - Everyday Moments.
I bought the clock mechanism off ebay.

Thanks!

Hi there from a very wet Scotland. That's our summer gone then. But it does mean lots of craft time lol.

So today's card is for the CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

Here's the sketch

And here's my card.

I've used a stamp set by Unity Stamp Company called ....Smile it's your day. It's a sentiment kit from July 2015. I love the whimsical feel of this kit.
                                        Smile, It's Your Day {july 2015 sentiment kit}

I've used the water & ink splat method for the background so I could keep it CAS. The inks are  Memento dew drops. They're ideal for this sort of stamping as they come in lots of shades of the same colours.

Hope you're having better weather than me!

Find Your Way

Today's card is quite a big card it's a 7 x 7 as the main image is a BIG stamp. The set is from Unity Stamp Company and is called Colliope and is designed by Donna Downey. It's a great kit to use in your mixed media projects.

Colliope

I made the background with my Gel Press and Brushos. For the accent pieces I used stencils, paint, stamps, bottle tops, credit card, inks and a white pen.
I watercoloured the girl and paper pieced her top.
I find layering up the main image that is mixed media with black card really makes it pop. So that is what I did and I also layered up the sentiments with black card. The girl and sentiments have been adhered to the card with 3D dots.
