She Took A Deep Breath And Let It Go

My clock mechanism arrived at last. I made this clock last week and was waiting impatiently for it.

The girl image and sentiment is from an Unity Stamp Company set called  "She never says never".
This is one of my favourite kits and I wanted to make something for the house so I can see it all the time.
The blank clock is from Hobbycraft which is just the clock face and numbers.
The papers are Teresa Collins - Everyday Moments.
I bought the clock mechanism off ebay.

A little bit of mixed media

So yesterday I made this card and added the final touches this morning. It's a mixed media card featuring lots of AALL & Create stamps.

It all started off when I saw the woman with the balloon. I loved the set so bought and the others kind of plopped into my basket too :0)

The background has been made with gesso and watercolours.

Stamp sets: AALL & Create #5 #23 #39

I think I have a new addiction!!!

I am still hot!

Today's card is a bit of a tongue in cheek card. I made it for the Sketch Saturday Challenge.
Here's the sketch

Thanks!

Hi there from a very wet Scotland. That's our summer gone then. But it does mean lots of craft time lol.

So today's card is for the CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

Here's the sketch

And here's my card.

I've used a stamp set by Unity Stamp Company called ....Smile it's your day. It's a sentiment kit from July 2015. I love the whimsical feel of this kit.
                                        Smile, It's Your Day {july 2015 sentiment kit}

I've used the water & ink splat method for the background so I could keep it CAS. The inks are  Memento dew drops. They're ideal for this sort of stamping as they come in lots of shades of the same colours.

Hope you're having better weather than me!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

Well after being away from being on the Design Team at  Cute Card Thursday I've decided (as I've got loads of crafty time now) to get back into it.

So this week's challenge is "Just For Girls". This week we are being sponsored by Patricia Alvarez at Kinda Cute.
I've used Hippie Girl Dancing for my card.

My background has been made by smooshing a piece of white card over my craft mat. I lay down some Distress Oxide ink in Faded Jeans and then spritzed with water. Then smooshed the card. I cut her out with my Scan n Cut so there's a little border around her. I then coloured her hair and skin with Copics. Her outfit has been paperpieced.

Digi Stamp: Kinda Cute - Hippie Girl Dancing
Ink: Distress Oxide - Faded Jeans
Sentiment: Clearyly Besotted - Sweet Little Sentiments
Dies: Sizzix Thinlits - Frames
Papers: First Edition - Wanderlust

The prize for one lucky winner will be 3 digital stamps from the Kinda Cute store.

Find Your Way

Today's card is quite a big card it's a 7 x 7 as the main image is a BIG stamp. The set is from Unity Stamp Company and is called Colliope and is designed by Donna Downey. It's a great kit to use in your mixed media projects.

Colliope

I made the background with my Gel Press and Brushos. For the accent pieces I used stencils, paint, stamps, bottle tops, credit card, inks and a white pen.
I watercoloured the girl and paper pieced her top.
I find layering up the main image that is mixed media with black card really makes it pop. So that is what I did and I also layered up the sentiments with black card. The girl and sentiments have been adhered to the card with 3D dots.
